This review has been planned for a long time but I've put it off until I finished school and bought all the colors to review. It's Wet n Wild's Silk Finish Lipstick. You can find this in most drugstores (Walgreens, Duane Reade, Rite Aid) and they sell for 99 cents each. They're such a steal! There are 22 colors out right now and I bought all of them.
The lipsticks come in a simple silver tube with a clear plastic lid. This is one of my favorite lipsticks to wear but I do have a few complaints. The lipstick bullet does not twist all the way down so you have to be really careful opening and closing to avoid nicking the bullet. Also, most of the colors available are frosty which are a little harder to pull off.

Dark Wine: name fits perfectly; it's a dark plum/wine color that's perfect for the fall vampy look. This was actually the first Silk Finish Lipstick I bought to try out the vampy look because it was so inexpensive.

Black Orchid: dark plum/red with hints of brown. This was the second color I bought for the vampy look because Dark Wine wasn't dark enough for my taste. I really like this one too.
I really recommend these lipsticks if you can find them near you. They feel amazing on the lips; they're really moisturizing and pigmented. The darker colors go on opaque in just one swipe! I love all the creme colors and even though I'm not too fond of frosty finishes, the amazing consistency was the same in those lipsticks also. Please check this out if it's in your area!

Deletehi, i want to try some of these lippies specifically pink noveau and fuschia with blue pearl but i'm not sure if i can pull it off.. i don't have fair skin.. i have honey colored skin tone and i usually opt to buy lippies with a mixture of red and brown shade.
ReplyDeleteI think you should go for it! They're only $1 each and I think Fuchsia with Blue Pearl is surprisingly beautiful. I have medium yellow skintone and I found it to be wearable :)

ReplyDeleteGlad I helped! The drugstore with the biggest selection seems to be Rite Aid and KMart. I would start with those first and then Walgreens and Duane Reade for the rest :)

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, but I think her lipstick is usually true red. I think the closest color to a true red would be Cinnamon. Hope this helps!
