Dawn Eyes Cosmetics New Year's 2017 - A Feast for the Eyes Swatches

I'm so excited to finally show swatches of Dawn Eyes Cosmetics' newest collection!  It's a New Year's collection inspired by various food and beverages.  As a self proclaimed foodie, this appealed to me a lot and really gave the names some meaning.  Dawn Eyes doesn't have a turnaround time stated, but they generally ship out within one or two business days.  Due to a family emergency, my order shipped out a few days late and I was notified (and apologized to) via email by the owner, Dawn about the delay.

Sparkling Lemonade
Sparkling Lemonade:  bright yellow with gold sparkles.  Now I'm not one for yellows at all, but this one was just so unique in my collection and I'm really excited to use it in a look!

Cherry Cordial
Cherry Cordial:  lavender with pink sparkles

Fresh Salad
Fresh Salad:  grass green with gold sparkles and blue shimmers

Blueberry Muffin
Blueberry Muffin:  gray purple with pink sparkles and gold shimmers.  This shade is a bit sheer over regular primer, so I strongly recommend using a sticky base.  I used this in a look recently (over a sticky base) and absolutely loved it!

Coconut Soup
Coconut Soup:  greige with silver sparkles.  This one is also a really unique color in my collection and I don't think I have anything quite like it!

Notoriously Morbid January 2017 Vanishing Cabinet - Come Up and Try My New Parts Swatches

Happy New Year, everyone!  Can you believe it's almost February already?  I have swatches of Notoriously Morbid's first Vanishing Cabinet of the year.  It was inspired by cult classic film, Repo! The Genetic Opera and co created by a fellow NM promoter, Andrea.  I had been interested in the movie for years before I actually watched it.  It has an intriguing plot and an amazing cast.  The movie ended up being really laughable and ridiculous, but I still love it and the song "Zydrate Anatomy" is always stuck in my head.  Anyway, this box includes three mini eyeshadows, one mini highlighter, and one exclusive Changeling topcoat created just for the box.  I think Andrea did an amazing job coming up with these colors and they really reflect the film's dark and blue toned atmosphere.  NM's current TAT is 14 business days, though the VC operates on a different schedule.

I Look Like a Crime Scene, Dad
I Look Like a Crime Scene, Dad:  periwinkle with slight red sheen and gold and green shimmers

I'll Keep Those Vultures Guessing
I'll Keep Those Vultures Guessing:  spruce blue with blue sparkles

Grave Robber
Grave Robber:  brown with green duochrome and pink and gold sparkles

I Thought I'd Seen a Ghost
I Thought I'd Seen a Ghost:  lavender highlighter with gold sparkles

Zydrate:  baby blue lipstick topcoat; cotton candy scented.  Changelings are best used lightly patted over (already dried) matte lipsticks.

I Look Like a Crime Scene Dad, I'll Keep Those Vultures Guessing, Grave Robber, I Thought I'd Seen a Ghost, Zydrate

Overall, this month's box has some stellar products.  The quality of everything was amazing and the colors were beautiful.  The Grave Robber color is unique and sexy, like the man himself.  Seriously, did anyone else have a crush on that guy??  And I don't know how often I'll use the Zydrate Changeling, but I love having my own little glass vial ;)

Hello Waffle January 2017 Visage - King Arthur Swatches and Review

Welcome back, everyone!  I have swatches of Hello Waffle's first Visage box of the year!  It was inspired by Arthurian legends (one of my favorites!) and contains three full sized eyeshadows, one slimline lipstick, and one full sized blush from Glamour Doll Eyes.  Hello Waffle's current TAT is 10 - 15 business days, though the Visage runs on a different schedule.

Cast in Stone
Cast in Stone:  pale pink with green shimmers

Of Equal Status
Of Equal Status:  matte taupe

Lady of the Lake
Lady of the Lake:  green with gold and green shimmers

Age of Chivalry
Age of Chivalry:  extremely pigmented warm pink blush with gold and red shimmers.  This was an exclusive blush created by Glamour Doll Eyes for this subscription box.  I found it to be too pigmented for my tastes and a bit hard to blend away.  I dipped my stipple brush in once, tapped off the excess, and it was still too much product and resulted in clown cheeks :/  I recommend using an extremely light hand with this one.

Bare lips
Holy Grail
Holy Grail on face
Holy Grail:  nude lipstick with gold shimmers.  This is a beautiful color, unfortunately it was too creamy and slippery.  It would apply patchily and "erase" over itself if I tried to layer it for more opacity.  Rubbing my lips together would also push the product into the outer edges of my lips.  The owner, Christine, had been notified about the problem and has offered everyone a refund or replacement lipstick.
