Innocent + Twisted Alchemy February 2015 - Swatches and Review

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!  I hope you're having fun whether you're spending time with your partner, friends, or family :)  I'm home alone so I figured I might as well get my February subscription reviews out.  I have Innocent+Twisted Alchemy's Feb box for you guys and I actually really liked it!  It came in an adorable heart envelope with some lipstick tape.  For this month, we had three beautiful eyeshadows from I+T and several other indie samples.

Pictures taken in daylight and swatched over Notoriously Morbid Shadow Bind (top half) and ELF Essential Primer (bottom half)

Pearls Before Wine
Pearls Before Wine:  ballet slipper pink with gold shimmers.  This is a very pretty and very feminine color.  I didn't expect to like it because I don't usually go for pinks, but this changed my mind.  It's very subtle and glowy.

Opulent Liaisons
Opulent Liaisons:  beautiful light purple with pink sheen and gold sparkles.  I knew right off the bat that I was going to love this color.  It was so beautiful in the jar and has a stunning duochromes.  I'm not a big fan of purple, but this one really caught my eye.

Rococo Flush
Rococo Flush:  shimmery rose with gold sparkles.  This is a color that's more up my alley; I haven't used it yet but I can tell it'll be beautiful and pigmented on the lids.

Capricorn
Capricorn:  satin lilac with pink and gold shimmers.  This is a sample from new indie company, Dark Matter Makeup, which I have swatched and reviewed here.  Capricorn is a sample from their newly released Zodiac Collection which I received samples for and will swatch later on as well.  This color is very pretty but does benefit over a sticky base.

Vintage
Vintage:  beautiful matte mauve.  This is a sample from Blackbird Cosmetics, which is famous for their matte shadows.  I can definitely see why, Vintage was silky and pigmented.  I can't wait to try this out on my lids.  I'm not a fan of matte shadows, but I might have to give Blackbird a try.

Debutante
Debutante:  shimmery peach blush.  This is a blush sample from Dreamworld Hermetica and I swatched it over bare skin.  I haven't tried Dreamworld's blushes but this one was great; silky and pigmented.

Roses are #FF0000
Roses are #FF0000:  pigmented candy apple red.  Last, but certainly not least, is a balm from AFK Cosmetics!  They're one of the newer companies I tried out and I absolutely love them!  AFK has great eyeshadows and their balms are actually my favorite indie balms, very moisturizing and pigmented.  This balm smells like strawberry candy and is super pigmented.  I also love the card it came with, so nerdy and cute :)

Daylight:  Pearls Before Wine, Opulent Liaisons, Rococo Flush, Capricorn, Vintage, Debutante, Roses are #FF0000

Bonus EOTD!

Pearls Before Wine (inner corner), Opulent Liaisons (lid), and Aromaleigh's Do I Know You? (outer v + crease) all over Notoriously Morbid's Shadow Bind

I was super happy with this month's box!  Last month I had hoped that Linda would come out with a more variety of shades and she actually listens to customers, which is awesome.  I loved every single color in this month's box and they all performed wonderfully.  The samples from other companies were awesome as well, and went great with the I+T colors.  If all future boxes will be as great as this one, I don't think I'll ever unsubscribe from it!

    1. They definitely are beautiful! I was very surprised by how much I liked those shades since I generally don't do rosy colors. I haven't used Rococo Flush yet, but I know it'll be great :) I do love the name Pearls Before Wine though.
