Huge Victorian Disco Cosmetics Haul - Crystalline Affections, February 2014 Sub, and Adventure Time Swatches

This review has been a long, long time coming, but it's a pretty new record for me.  This huge haul was actually two separate orders from Victorian Disco Cosmetics awhile back.  The first one was when they released the Crystalline Affections collection for Valentine's Day, which features eyeshadows inspired by the couples of Final Fantasy.  The eyeshadows only came in full-sized jars and could not be separated.  What I found hilarious is that they included an AerisxCloudxTifa trio for the infamous love triangle (although you could always buy CloudxAeris or CloudxTifa).  My second order was for their subscription for February, this is the first time I'm trying their subscription and I figured I might as well try because the Adventure Time collection also released.  I threw in a few samples from that collection when I made my subscription order.

I asked the owner, Ashley, if she could ship them together since the Crystalline Affections order was not out yet.  She has amazing customer service so of course she said yes.  However, she was pretty overwhelmed with orders so this took awhile to get to me and USPS held my package for TWO weeks before they processed it.  Since this is a pretty big haul, I'm splitting it into three parts (all within this post), the first will be Crystalline Affections, then February Subscription, then the samples.

Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stains - Swatches and Review

For 2014, Wet n Wild came out with a bunch of new stuff for their permanent line.  This was exciting news for all of us WnW fans because their products are fantastic quality at an amazing price.  One of their new products is the Balm Stains.  It is their take on the jumbo lip color trend and I'm so glad they finally did it.  I'm a huge fan of jumbo lip pencils because they're a low maintenance product that also gives moisture and color.  For now, there are only six colors in this collection and it took me awhile to find all of them because most drugstores around my area don't carry them yet.

Ipsy March 2014 - Destination Beauty

Hi everyone!  I'm here again with my March bag from Ipsy.com.  This month's theme is Destination Beauty; I only received 4 products this month contrary to my usual 5.  However, the cuteness of the bag and my impressions of most products made up for that.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's March 2014 Subscription - Review and Swatches

How cute is the packaging?  Innocent + Twisted Alchemy did it again; I can't get enough of that cute bunny bag!  This is a cool month for i+t because they announced they were trying out a matte formula.  A sample of that matte shadow was included in this month's box and it's pretty great!  As usual, Linda shipped it out really quickly, I'm just posting this now because I'm behind on posts...

Notoriously Morbid Lost in the Lodge Collection - Swatches and Review

My favorite indie company, Notoriously Morbid, is at it again!  They've recently released a collection based on the TV show Twin Peaks.  The collection is called Lost in the Lodge and contains six shades.  A full-size jar of a shade was given to us as a Free Day Friday gift so I took that opportunity to order the others (as well as a few other shades I've wanted to try).  This was actually several orders combined into one so that's why it seems like a lot..

Another cute personalized note :)  The crypt that Carrie is referencing to is NM's Facebook fanpage called "Notoriously Morbid's Customer Crypt" - I love talking to people there; they are all friendly and awesome.

Oslo Cosmetics - Collective Swatch

Hi everyone!  I'm doing something a little bit different today.  I don't have any new reviews or swatches for you, but since I own almost every single eyeshadow that Oslo Cosmetics offers, I decided to put all the swatches into one post.  This way, if you're interested, you can compare all the colors at once instead of looking back and forth and wondering if any two shades are similar.  Now I said I own almost all, but not all - I do not own the black eyeshadow, the light blue shadow (Aquarii), and a few shades from the limited edition Halloween collection.  I also forgot to include a swatch of Fabula from the aforementioned Halloween collection, sorry!  But here are all the eyeshadows I have from Oslo:

Shiro Cosmetics February 2014 CotM and Discontinuing Shades

Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, it's another Shiro order.  A few weeks back, Shiro had announced they were discontinuing a lot of colors from the Legends collection and adding a few new ones.  Caitlin put the discontinuing ones up for sale at a discount when she released the February Color of the Month.  Now if I hadn't talked about their Color of the Months before, I will now.  It's a really cool thing they do where they ask fans to suggest a color for the month (name and shade).  She then takes the five or six suggestions with the most Facebook likes and asks us to vote.  The winner of the vote will be made into a color that can be purchased during that month.

This is a really fun concept because it lets the fans interact and directly affect the company, in a way.  We all feel like we're contributing and it feels like a nice tribute when Caitlin does make a color we suggest.  Anyway, if you hadn't noticed by now, rose gold has been a very popular color this year, especially with the release of Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette.  Shiro has yet to make a rose gold and they really excel in everything they do.  I suggested a rose gold color for January's CotM but it didn't get enough votes.  I decided to suggest it again for February titled, "Welp, I tried! 'inspired by the already broken resolutions'".  It ended up winning and a Shiro rose gold was made!  So yes, this is me rambling, but you can understand my excitement after winning out over many other beautiful colors.

I showed my fiance this and he said, "Aw, that's nice - WAIT, HOW DID SHE KNOW?"  Caitlin, he now thinks you're some kind of seer.
