Notoriously Morbid May 2016 CotM, CCCotM and Necropolis Mystic Matte Swatches

I have another short swatch post of Notoriously Morbid's recent releases.  Their TAT is currently 5-10 business days and I got my package within that time frame.  I bought their Color of the Month, which was a duo Mystic Matte lipstick inspired by Shakespear Sister's song, Stay.  I also bought the Customer Created Color of the Month, an eyeshadow inspired by The Last Unicorn.  I had actually ordered a duplicate of my favorite transition shade, Logic Boy, and Carrie (NM's owner) let me switch it out.  I requested a sample/mini of any upcoming Mystic Matte shade and Carrie ended up generously upgrading it to a full size!

The Lady Amalthea
The Lady Amalthea:  pale pink with tons of blue and gold sparkles.  This was the CCCotM inspired by The Last Unicorn.

Think of Me

Think of Me on face
Think of Me:  opaque medium pink with slight blue sheen.  I really like the formula for this one, it's very thin and comfortable, yet applies evenly.  I had no problems putting this on and the blue sheen is subtle, but definitely shows up.

Break the Spell

Break the Spell on face
Break the Spell:  moderately opaque gray purple with tons of pink and blue sparkles.  This one is absolutely gorgeous!  I waited until it was fully dry until I pressed my lips together to bring out the sparkle.  They definitely show up well, so if sparkles are your thing, definitely get this duo.

Necropolis

Necropolis on face
Necropolis:  opaque gray lilac.  This is one of the new unreleased colors that Carrie sent me.  It's actually a bit harder for me to pull off because of my coloring (it makes me look a bit more yellow).  However, I'm able to pull this off with a full face of makeup and smokier eyes!

I really enjoyed this month's Colors of the month and really recommend the duo wand.  I think both shades are beautiful and unique!  They retire after the end of the month, so there are only a few more days to get them.  I'm even more excited for the release of EIGHT new Mystic Matte liquid lipsticks!  Necropolis is one of them and Absolute, which I've shown in a previous post, is another.  Take a look on NM's FB page (Notoriously Morbid's Customer's Crypt) to check out the other beautiful shades.  They'll be releasing on Friday 10AM EST along with a Tribute Trio inspired by The Cure!

Notoriously Morbid May 2016 Vanishing Cabinet - One Lonely Tear Swatches and Review

This month's Notoriously Morbid Vanishing Cabinet was themed after the movie Cry Baby.  Notoriously Morbid's current TAT is 5-10 business days, though the Vanishing Cabinet is a recurring monthly subscription.  This month's box included three mini eyeshadows and one mini Mystic Matte lipstick.  The box was co-created by fellow promo model, Sharie, as well.  This is one of my favorite boxes because of the gorgeous Mystic Matte and I used everything as soon as I opened the box.

CryBaby
CryBaby:  white with green duochrome and silver sparkles

Hatchet Face
Hatchet Face:  pinky red with red sparkles

High School Hell Cat
High School Hell Cat:  black base with tons of blue and pink sparkles.  This shade is beautiful and I took one blurry shot to showcase the sparkles!

Scrape
Scrape:  brown based pink nude liquid lipstick.  It's a Mystic Matte created exclusively for this box and I fell completely in love.  It's opaque in one coat, dries instantly, and is my perfect MLBB.  It does leave behind a hot pink stain, but the shade is so opaque that reapplication covers the stain.  NM is making the shade available for purchase (full size only) this weekend!  I know I'll be picking up a few for me and some coworkers :D

Scrape on lips

I really love this month's box and my look came out a bit more patriotic than I expected.  I still felt like a million bucks and regretted having to take off my makeup at the end of the night.  My makeup stayed on beautifully for the whole day, though I did have to reapply Scrape a few times after meals.  As I mentioned before, Scrape will be made available to purchase this weekend and several new Mystic Matte lipsticks will be released as well!  Head on over to NM's FB page (Notoriously Morbid's Customer's Crypt) to check out sneak peeks :)

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy May 2016 Subscription Swatches

Hello, everyone!  I have a short swatch post of Innocent and Twisted Alchemy's May subscription box.  The subscription box is monthly, though their regular TAT is 14-18 business days.  This subscription is themed after CLAMP's Magic Knight Rayearth, a series I read when I was younger.  If I haven't mentioned before, I'm a huge, huge fan of CLAMP's works and have been following them or years.  I truly hope I+TA comes out with more CLAMP collections later on because the owner, Linda, makes beautiful shadows in a great formula.

Pictures taken under LED bulb and swatched over ELF Glitter Primer (top/left half) and ELF Essential Primer (bottom/right half)

Healing Winds
Healing Winds:  bright chartreuse with red and gold sparkles

Icicle Blades
Icicle Blades:  sky blue with green and red shimmers

Red Lightning
Red Lightning:  purple with gold and red shimmers

Unyielding Wish
Unyielding Wish:  rusty red with green duochrome.  Beautiful eyeshadow sample from Eccentric Cosmetics.  This shadow was made exclusively for the subscription and I would've expected this shade for Red Lightning more because of the red tones.  Nonetheless, it's gorgeous and the duochrome comes out really effortlessly in person.

Not the Enemy
Not the Enemy:  dark gray purple with silver sheen and purple sparkles.  This was a full size shadow from Shiro Cosmetics also created exclusively for this subscription.  It's a nice shade and does remind me of the character it's inspired by.

Hello Waffle May 2016 Visage - Charlotte's Web Swatches

This month's Visage subscription from Hello Waffle Cosmetics was inspired by Charlotte's Web.  The Visage box is a monthly subscription that currently has a wait list, but Hello Waffle's usual TAT is 10-15 business days.  Since last month featured some bright colors, this month has some very neutral matte shadows.

Pictures taken under LED bulb and swatched over ELF Glitter Primer (top/left half) and ELF Essential Primer (bottom/right half)

The County Fair
The County Fair:  champagne gold

A Young Girl
A Young Girl:  matte pink nude

An Unusual Spider
An Unusual Spider:  matte dark brown

Glass Coffin
Glass Coffin:  matte medium pink.  This was a free sample from their recently released Snow White collection.  I'm thinking of picking up the lipsticks and duochrome shadows from that collection!

Reclusa
Reclusa:  light peach blush with purple shimmers.  This was a full sized subscription exclusive blush from My Pretty Zombie Cosmetics.  This is the first big square jar I have so I was really intrigued.  The blush looked pretty nice and natural on me so I might end up using it as a highlighter.

Some Pig

Some Pig on face
Some Pig:  opaque watermelon pink lipstick; watermelon scent.  The scent is so delightful and the lipstick is opaque in one swipe.  I'm not sure how often I'll use a bright lipstick but it's good to have in my stash.
