Notoriously Morbid April 2017 Vanishing Cabinet - Sour Ground Swatches and Review

Happy spring, everyone!  I have swatches of Notoriously Morbid's April Vanishing Cabinet today!  It was inspired by Stephen King's Pet Sematary.  The VC included four mini eyeshadows and a lip shimmer that can be used together for a cohesive look.  In a recent poll about the VC, many customers said they wanted VCs that they can create full looks with and the owner, Carrie, delivered!  NM's current TAT is 14 business days, though the VC ships on a different schedule.

Pictures taken under LED bulb and swatched over ELF Glitter Primer (top/left half) and ELF Essential Primer (bottom/right half)

Wanna Play with You
Wanna Play with You:  semi loose light pink with gold and red shimmers

Sometimes Dead is Better
Sometimes Dead is Better:  matte greige

Soil of a Man's Heart
Soil of a Man's Heart:  gorgeous medium warm pink with gold sparkles and red shimmers

Each Buries his Own
Each Buries his Own:  matte dark chocolate brown with red tint

Bare lips
Resurrection
Resurrection on face
Resurrection:  semi sheer purple balm with blue shimmers.  This lip shimmer is delightfully grape scented and gives my lips more of a fuchsia glow.

Overall, I was really happy with NM's first semi full face Vanishing Cabinet.  I like that I don't have to think about how to use my shadows and it's great for rushed mornings.  The only problems I have with collections like these are their tendency to include similar colors in each month (i.e. transition shades and dark outer corner color).  I usually end up with a good amount of similar shadows with only a differing lid shade.  Hopefully NM won't do full face VCs every single month to avoid that, but I do like the convenience when I do receive them.

    1. Greige is gray and beige. The swatch may look a bit purple because my camera tends to lean cool. The color is closer to the product picture in real life.
