Shiro Cosmetics Black Friday 2015 Swatches

Okay, I know I'm supposed to be catching up on posts and this one says "Black Friday", but I'm not as late as it seems!  I made a Shiro order during their Black Friday sale and picked up almost all the discontinuing Minecraft shades as well as several other newly released goodies.  I picked up the CotM (Senpai Noticed Me!), the new trio based on tree puns, and two Femme Fatale shades.  There was also a GWP for retail employees during the holiday season again.

Before I received my order, Shiro came out with their new CotM called "Sugar Plum Harry", so I emailed and asked if it could be added on.  My order shipped the next day and the owner, Caitlin, emailed me back saying it wasn't added on, but since I emailed before shipping, she would ship it to me for free :)  After I received my package, I noticed some leaky jars due to sifter stickers not applied correctly and a missing shadows as well.  I emailed Caitlin yet again and she apologized and shipped out the missing shadow and some extra labels for me :)  She's an absolute delight to communicate with and always responded promptly even though it was the holiday weekend.

AFK Cosmetics Summer Lovin' 2015 Swatches!

Hey everyone, I have swatches of AFK Cosmetics' recent Summer Lovin' collection today!  It's an Advent Calender style collection where you're only supposed to open one item per day.  Of course, being as impatient as I am, I opened them all at once and wasn't even sorry.  I believe AFK does this twice a year, once in the summer and once in the winter.  I opted for the sample size collection because I don't use up full size products anyway.  And I know it's almost the end of summer, but as long as I get it out before then, right? :P

This is an inside joke, but basically in my previous order, Dena had drawn me a melted snowman and she revived it here :P

Beautiful Blonde Pineapple
Beautiful Blonde Pineapple:  pale yellow with silver sparkles.  This is a sample from the very own, AFK Cosmetics!  It's very satiny and feminine.

Beauty School Dropout
Beauty School Dropout:  matte pale pink.  This is a sample from Blackbird Cosmetics, who specializes in matte shadows.  Everyone raves about them and I'm not a matte lover, so I can't fully appreciate the quality, but it is very soft and pigmented.

Shiro Cosmetics and Femme Fatale Mini Haul Swatches and Review

I bought a few shadows from Shiro and Femme Fatale (sold on Shiro's site) a few weeks ago and have had a good amount of time testing them out.  When I found out Femme Fatale's famous Candied Apple shade was in stock, I hurried to pick it up because it's raved about by everyone.  I also picked up several others that I had wondered about.  Let me tell you, I'm thoroughly impressed by FF's eyeshadow formula!  They shades were all buttery, smooth, and pigmented over regular primer.  Now that they are on my radar, I'll be keeping my eye out for destashes and group buys!

Femme Fatale & Shiro Cosmetics Haul Swatches

Today I have swatches of some Femme Fatale Cosmetics eyeshadows and Shiro glosses that were sold on FF's site awhile ago.  The Shiro glosses were exclusive glosses made around the holidays and weren't available for sale until it was put up by FF.

Cosmic Owl
Cosmic Owl:  metallic bronze.  I have a few bronzes in my collection, but I couldn't resist getting a shadow named after one of my favorite Adventure Time characteres!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Mini-Haul Swatches

I've been a horrible blogger, I've been having writer's block for awhile and my work has kept me super busy so this post has been in my draft folder for months.  It's my small Femme Fatale haul and I'm glad that I'm finally getting to it!  Femme Fatale is an indie company based out of Australia and famous for their stunning duochromes.  This was my first order from them and I actually hopped on with several other users in the states to split our shipping.

Moonglow
Moonglow:  icy blue with gold duochrome.  This was my free sample and reminded me of Notoriously Morbid's Nothing is Trivial shadow, I hope I can compare them later in time.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy May 2015 Subscription Swatches

I'm super excited to share these swatches and review of Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's May 2015 subscription box!  The theme for this month is Alien which is a movie starring Sigourney Weaver about an extraterrestrial infiltrating a spacecraft and killing the crew members (I'm not putting a spoiler alert mainly because it's such an old movie!).  I didn't watch this for the longest time because I'm not fond of watching super old movies because the quality is not that great.  However, while rewatching one of SNL's Lasercats skits, Sigourney Weaver guest starred as her character in Alien, Ripley, and I became interested.  I ended up marathoning the whole series (barring the horrible AvP spin-offs) and really enjoyed the franchise.

As soon as Linda snuck a peek of the theme two months ago, I've been excited for this box.  Alien was a makeup theme I never knew I wanted, but once proposed, I can't imagine being without it.  I don't really use neutrals much, but they are the only color family that make sense with the film, given how the atmosphere is very dark and gloomy.

Anyway, my box shipped last week, and from previous experiences, it arrives at my house around two to three days later which is extremely fast.  However, this time took much longer and I ended up tracking it.  USPS decided to take my package for a week long joyride without updating at all.  I was really upset because I was so excited for this package and I'm pretty sure the post office knows that.  Anytime something I really want is on its way, they decide to delay it for some reason.  After numerous calls to USPS and them MISDELIVERING it, I received it today.  I immediately opened it up and did some swatches, then realized they would all look great together and slapped them on my eyes too!

I'm really sorry about my long rambles, I just really love this box.  Kudos, Linda!

Look how freaking cool this label art is?!  This box is everything.

Face Hugger
Face Hugger:  shimmery beige with slight green sheen.  This shade, along with all the others in today's box is extremely pigmented and work amazingly over regular primer.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's March 2014 Subscription - Review and Swatches

How cute is the packaging?  Innocent + Twisted Alchemy did it again; I can't get enough of that cute bunny bag!  This is a cool month for i+t because they announced they were trying out a matte formula.  A sample of that matte shadow was included in this month's box and it's pretty great!  As usual, Linda shipped it out really quickly, I'm just posting this now because I'm behind on posts...
