Innocent + Twisted Alchemy April 2016 Subscription Swatches and Review

It's time for my monthly review of Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's subscription service!  This service is usually $12/month but will be increasing the price to $18/month.  The shop's TAT is currently 14 - 18 business days.  I will still be subscribing even after the price increase because I love I+TA's eyeshadow formula and it's a real joy to receive this subscription.  It feels like a surprise present to myself every month and keeps me on my toes.

This month's theme is inspired by various chocolates.  The label art is adorable and shows a cute girl enjoying chocolates.  I received four mini eyeshadows, one full sized shadow from a guest indie, and a sample eyeshadow from another guest indie.  It was primarily brown themed (obviously) but I still really enjoyed it and loved using the shades together.

Surfin
Surfin:  corn yellow with green shimmers

Porcelana
Porcelana:  light bronze with green and red shimmers

Palet D'Or
Palet D'Or:  medium brown with gold and red shimmers

Couverture
Couverture:  dark brown with silver sparkles and green and red shimmers

Dark Chocolate Turtle
Dark Chocolate Turtle:  antique gold with gold sparkles and copper shimmers.  This was the full size exclusive shadow Baroque Cosmetics made for this sub.  I wasn't expecting much performance wise because of my previous experience with Baroque shadows.  However, I used this shadow on a lazy, sticky-base-less day and it performed wonderfully on my lids!  It was very smooth, pigmented, and long lasting.

Hidebehind
Hidebehind:  blue silver with green sparkles and red shimmers.  This was an eyeshadow sample from Meow Cosmetics.  The formula is nice and the color is pretty, however, Meow's website isn't great and their selection is pretty overwhelming.  I have such a large collection now that I just stick to purchasing from brands I already know and love.

Overall, I really liked this month's box.  I know it looks a bit monochromatic and I usually don't like that, but for some reason I love this one.  Maybe it's because I+TA's formula is smooth, buttery, and pigmented or that they put a unique twist on neutral shades.  I just feel extremely excited about these colors and I think it may have something to do with the chocolate theme ;)

AFK Cosmetics Summer Lovin' 2015 Swatches!

Hey everyone, I have swatches of AFK Cosmetics' recent Summer Lovin' collection today!  It's an Advent Calender style collection where you're only supposed to open one item per day.  Of course, being as impatient as I am, I opened them all at once and wasn't even sorry.  I believe AFK does this twice a year, once in the summer and once in the winter.  I opted for the sample size collection because I don't use up full size products anyway.  And I know it's almost the end of summer, but as long as I get it out before then, right? :P

This is an inside joke, but basically in my previous order, Dena had drawn me a melted snowman and she revived it here :P

Beautiful Blonde Pineapple
Beautiful Blonde Pineapple:  pale yellow with silver sparkles.  This is a sample from the very own, AFK Cosmetics!  It's very satiny and feminine.

Beauty School Dropout
Beauty School Dropout:  matte pale pink.  This is a sample from Blackbird Cosmetics, who specializes in matte shadows.  Everyone raves about them and I'm not a matte lover, so I can't fully appreciate the quality, but it is very soft and pigmented.

Baroque Cosmetics First Impression Swatches and Review

Hey everyone!  I finally got to try out Baroque Cosmetics after hearing so much about them and picked up a lot of eyeshadow and blush samples!  Since it's an intensely picture heavy post, I'll just get right to the swatches :)

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy April 2015 Subscription Swatches

I think I can finally say my procrastination knows no bounds... This is a swatch post of Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's April subscription box >_<  I don't know what happened last month, but I was just in some kind of blog rut even though I had all the pictures ready to go.  Funny enough, I+T's MAY subscription swatches were posted the day I received them (I loved that box guys...)  Anyway, the theme for April was magical girl series and Linda had a friend draw the label art.  It included two exclusive I+T shadows and a brand new face highlighter!

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy - July 2014 Subscription

Welcome back everyone!  It's time for another Innocent+Twisted Alchemy subscription box!  For any new readers, this is a monthly subscription where you get three to four eyeshadows from I+T and several samples from other indie companies.  They are sold in two sizes, a sample size (I don't remember the exact price, I believe it's $12/month), and a deluxe size ($16, I believe).  The sample size includes sample sized eyeshadows, which are normally priced at $3/each and deluxe size includes full-sized eyeshadows, which retail for $6/each.  Either way, this is a really great deal and I love trying out products from other companies as well.

This month is different because it has a mermaid theme.  The owner, Linda, hand draws everything and they're always beautiful.  The picture you see below was drawn by her and the label art were drawn by a friend of hers.  As usual, we received eyeshadow from I+T and other companies, but this month also had a blush, liquid shimmer, and a beautiful lip gloss!
