Hello Waffle August 2017 Visage - Mean Girls Swatches and Review

Welcome back, everyone!  I have swatches of Hello Waffle Cosmetics' last Visage subscription box.  The shop isn't closed, but changed hands from Christine to Caitlin from Shiro Cosmetics.  Shiro will be continuing the shop and Visage subscriptions starting September.  The Visage is $30/month for a box full of products for a full face look.  August's theme was Mean Girls, which came out when I was in middle school and can still quote to this day!  The box included three full sized eyeshadows, one mini blush, and a liquid lipstick from BeautyBarBaby.

So Fetch:  opaque slightly metallic medium pink; strong bubblegum scent.  This was a liquid matte lipstick created by BeautyBarBaby exclusively for this box.  I found the formula phenomenal.  It was fast drying, comfortable, and extremely water and budge proof.  While I was washing off my swatches, it did not remove while rubbing with soap and water.  I had to use a makeup wipe to get it off.

Overall, this was a good way to end Christine's tenure as Hello Waffle creator.  She created a wildly successful indie company and left it to someone who's proven well equipped to run multiple companies.  Hello Waffle won't be the same without Christine and I'm happy to have been there for its debut and end :')  It's very bittersweet, but I'm happy that she's moving onto bigger and better things!

Hello Waffle February 2017 Visage - She Walks in Beauty Swatches and Review

Happy March, everyone!  I have some belated Valentine's Day posts for you guys as usual ^^;  Today, I have swatches of Hello Waffle's February Visage box.  It's inspired by Lord Byron's poem, She Walks in Beauty.  Hello Waffle's current TAT is 10 - 15 business days and the Visage operates on a different shipping schedule.  February's Visage boasts a huge box value with almost double the products.  The owner, Christine, also gave out replacements of last month's lipstick, The Holy Grail, and I'm really liking the replacement formula.  The guest indie for that month was Brija Cosmetics and they created an exclusive lip gloss for the box.

Hello Waffle January 2017 Visage - King Arthur Swatches and Review

Welcome back, everyone!  I have swatches of Hello Waffle's first Visage box of the year!  It was inspired by Arthurian legends (one of my favorites!) and contains three full sized eyeshadows, one slimline lipstick, and one full sized blush from Glamour Doll Eyes.  Hello Waffle's current TAT is 10 - 15 business days, though the Visage runs on a different schedule.

Lady of the Lake:  green with gold and green shimmers

Age of Chivalry

Age of Chivalry:  extremely pigmented warm pink blush with gold and red shimmers.  This was an exclusive blush created by Glamour Doll Eyes for this subscription box.  I found it to be too pigmented for my tastes and a bit hard to blend away.  I dipped my stipple brush in once, tapped off the excess, and it was still too much product and resulted in clown cheeks :/  I recommend using an extremely light hand with this one.

Holy Grail:  nude lipstick with gold shimmers.  This is a beautiful color, unfortunately it was too creamy and slippery.  It would apply patchily and "erase" over itself if I tried to layer it for more opacity.  Rubbing my lips together would also push the product into the outer edges of my lips.  The owner, Christine, had been notified about the problem and has offered everyone a refund or replacement lipstick.

Hello Waffle December 2016 Visage - The Elves and the Shoemaker Swatches

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!  I have swatches of Hello Waffle's December Visage!   Hello Waffle is currently closed for the holidays but will reopen in January 2017.  The Visage box continues to ship out regardless of the usual TAT though.  This month's box is themed after The Elves and the Shoemaker, one of my favorite fairy tales because it's so heartwarming.  It includes three mini eyeshadows, one full sized lipstick, and one full sized liquid blush from Squash Beauty.
