Notoriously Morbid June 2016 Vanishing Cabinet - Killer Candy Swatches

Happy Independence Day, everyone!  I have swatches of Notoriously Morbid's June Vanishing Cabinet.  It was inspired by Jawbreaker which I haven't had a chance to watch yet.  Their VCs are $13.25/month and usually include three to four mini eyeshadows as well as another product.  Their TAT is currently 5-10 business days, though the VC generally ships out on its own.  This month was a bit special as the additional product was a lip scrub!  NM has never released a lip scrub prior to this and I believe their debut formula is great!  It'll go well with their Mystic Matte liquid lipsticks, so I hope the company releases more.

Satan in Heels
Satan in Heels:  purple with red shimmers

Peachy F****** Keen
Peachy F****** Keen:  tropical scented and flavored lip scrub.  It smells like Malibu pineapple, sloughs off all dead skin, and is especially effective over lip balm.  I've been using ELF's Lip Scrub which comes in a lipstick form and had to get used to applying this lip scrub with my fingers.  It's fairly easy but can get a little messy sometimes.  I hope NM starts selling these in larger sizes because they will be helpful to use on lips before applying the Mystic Matte lipsticks!

Hello Waffle June 2016 Visage - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Swatches and Review

Happy July 4th, everyone!  I have swatches of Hello Waffle Cosmetics' June Visage subscription box!  It's inspired by one of my all time favorite books - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  I'm actually a fan of almost all of Roald Dahl's works, so I'm definitely watching The BFG when it comes out.  Hello Waffle is currently on hiatus until October, but their usual TAT is 10-15 business days.  The Visage is $30/month and generally comes with three or four mini eyshadows, and full sized cheek and lip products.  The Visage is unaffected by the hiatus and will still be sent out during their break.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy June 2016 Subscription Swatches

Welcome back, everyone!  Sorry I've been a bit late with these posts; I've been moving and had to push back posting in favor of packing and all that fun stuff.  I have swatches of Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's June subscription box.  The box just went through a price increase and is now $18/month.  The shop's usual TAT is 14-18 business days though the box doesn't operate on standard TAT.  This month's theme is one of the Final Fantasy series and the overall color theme is purple.

Nora
Nora:  teal with gold and green shimmers

Lightning
Lightning:  gorgeous pink base with blue duochrome.  The duochrome is extremely strong with this shade and I highly recommend picking up any leftovers the shop puts up.

Noel
Noel:  lavender with gold and green sparkles and pink shimmers

Sera
Sera:  dark purple with blue, pink, and gold sparkles

Mog
Mog:  light pink with gold duochrome and red shimmers.  This was a full sized eyeshadow from Dusk Cosmetics.  I've been meaning to order from this brand for forever.  The label art is beautiful and they have themes I enjoy.

Corvus Cosmetics Le Cirque Collection and Highlighter Swatches

Corvus Cosmetics recently released their newest collection inspired by vintage circuses.  It includes sixteen eyeshadows in bright and bold colors with French names.  During their release, Corvus also introduced all new face highlighters!  The debut product comes in ten beautiful shades, half of which are wearable and the other half are duochrome.  Their TAT is currently 5-30 business days and I found my order shipping within 10 business days.  The Le Cirque collection has the same wonderful formula that I've grown accustomed to from Corvus with the eyeshadows being pigmented even over regular primer and extremely blendable.

However, the real surprise came from the highlighters.  They're all incredibly creamy and easy to blend into the skin.  I've been wearing a new shade every day for the past week and have found all of them a pleasure to work with.  Depending on how heavy handed the application is, they can be both subtle and intense.  I find them creamier than some of the highlighters from other indie brands that I've been enjoying.  They are also pigmented enough over a sticky base to be used as eyeshadows or inner corner highlights.  I really do recommend trying out at least samples of the highlighters and hope Corvus releases more shades.

Nice note from the owner.  Also, I know I'm the best huehuehue :P

AFK Cosmetics Hittin' the Gym and Geek Pride Collections Swatches!

AFK recently combined two of my biggest loves - makeup and Pokemon.  They released a multi product collection based off of the Pokemon gyms in the Kanto region.  It features five eyeshadows, one highlighter, and two tinted lip balms with custom label art.  It was released on Geek Pride Day so a trio of eyeshadows were also created for the occasion.  They were offered as Gifts with Purchase depending on how large the order was.  I didn't realize I was eligible for two free shadows instead of one so the owner threw in another free full sized eyeshadow!

AFK's TAT is currently 7-20 business days; I find that it's heavily padded and my order actually shipped out the next business day!  Unfortunately, it was also Memorial Day weekend and USPS decided to take a few extra days to bounce back and I ended up receiving my package a bit later.  I also decided to change up my swatching order a bit this time.  I usually swatch colors from lightest to darkest, but since this theme sort of has an order...I'm swatching in the order of the gyms you're supposed to defeat in the games!

Disclaimer: All products were purchased by me unless otherwise stated.

Pokemon themed snowman drawing, thank you, Dena! ♥

Boulder
Boulder:  charcoal with silver sparkles.  Ah, the first gym you encounter in the games, and supposedly the easiest.  I have to shamefully admit that I had a really hard time beating Brock because of my starter type and had to restart my game several times.

Cascade
Cascade:  aquamarine with green and red sparkles.  I know it seems more sky blue in the swatch photo, but it's a hair greener.  This jar actually came without a bottom label.  I messaged the owner about it last night and I'm still waiting for a response.  (I asked if she can either send it out or include it in my next order.)
