Hello Waffle June 2016 Visage - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Swatches and Review

Happy July 4th, everyone!  I have swatches of Hello Waffle Cosmetics' June Visage subscription box!  It's inspired by one of my all time favorite books - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  I'm actually a fan of almost all of Roald Dahl's works, so I'm definitely watching The BFG when it comes out.  Hello Waffle is currently on hiatus until October, but their usual TAT is 10-15 business days.  The Visage is $30/month and generally comes with three or four mini eyshadows, and full sized cheek and lip products.  The Visage is unaffected by the hiatus and will still be sent out during their break.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy May 2016 Subscription Swatches

Hello, everyone!  I have a short swatch post of Innocent and Twisted Alchemy's May subscription box.  The subscription box is monthly, though their regular TAT is 14-18 business days.  This subscription is themed after CLAMP's Magic Knight Rayearth, a series I read when I was younger.  If I haven't mentioned before, I'm a huge, huge fan of CLAMP's works and have been following them or years.  I truly hope I+TA comes out with more CLAMP collections later on because the owner, Linda, makes beautiful shadows in a great formula.

Healing Winds
Healing Winds:  bright chartreuse with red and gold sparkles

Icicle Blades
Icicle Blades:  sky blue with green and red shimmers

Red Lightning
Red Lightning:  purple with gold and red shimmers

Unyielding Wish
Unyielding Wish:  rusty red with green duochrome.  Beautiful eyeshadow sample from Eccentric Cosmetics.  This shadow was made exclusively for the subscription and I would've expected this shade for Red Lightning more because of the red tones.  Nonetheless, it's gorgeous and the duochrome comes out really effortlessly in person.

Not the Enemy
Not the Enemy:  dark gray purple with silver sheen and purple sparkles.  This was a full size shadow from Shiro Cosmetics also created exclusively for this subscription.  It's a nice shade and does remind me of the character it's inspired by.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy August 2015 Subscription Swatches

I know this is a bit late, but here's Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's August subscription box!  I was particularly happy for this one because of the theme.  It was originally inspired after my favorite podcast, Welcome to Night Vale, which I listen to before bed because Cecil's voice is soothing and I pre ordered the book as well (I also saw the cast at a live reading!).  However, due to the creators of the show asking people not to sell fan made products, I+T's owner, Linda, changed the names.  Several guest indies who created products exclusively for that box didn't get to change their names in time so it's still Night Vale themed.  I asked Linda what the original names were, mainly because I love WtNV and will be putting them next to the new names.

Most of the colors are also purple themed, as that is WtNV's color palette.  I don't usually care for purples, but I'm such a sucker for packaging and themes that I absolutely love this box ♥

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy October 2014 - Swatches and Review

This month's Innocent + Twisted Alchemy subscription came as a surprise because I received jars instead of clamshells.  I initially thought I received a full-sized subscription by mistake and messaged Linda about it, she assured me that she was trying out jars this month to see how they go.  Personally, I loathe clamshells and I was contemplating on unsubscribing because of all the trouble they've given me.  I+T's products are amazing and beautiful, but the hassle is too huge to ignore.

I received four eyeshadows and one blush from I+T and four additional samples from other companies.  Since this is the first time I'm receiving jars from I+T, let's discuss the packaging.  The jars are not shrink-wrapped, instead they are wrapped with adorable Halloween themed tape.  I experienced some leakage in the square jar, but the tape prevented product from leaking outside.
