Notoriously Morbid December 2016 Vanishing Cabinet - A Few Rules Swatches

Today, I have swatches of Notoriously Morbid's December Vanishing Cabinet!  NM's current TAT is 14 business days, but the VC operates on a different schedule.  This month's theme was inspired by the movie, Gremlins, and features two mini eyeshadows, one slumber salve lip balm, and a mini perfume!  This seems to be NM's first spray perfume and I'm really excited for them!

Happy October, everyone!  Today, I have swatches of Hello Waffle's October 2016 Visage box!  Their current TAT is 10-15 business days, though the Visages operate under their own schedule.  October's box is inspired by various films from Tim Burton.  This month includes two full sized eyeshadows, one mini contour powder, a full sized perfume from Sixteen92, and a full sized lip balm from AFK Cosmetics.

Notoriously Morbid August 2016 Vanishing Cabinet - Perfect Day Swatches and Review!

Today, I have swatches of Notoriously Morbid's August Vanishing Cabinet!  It's inspired by the movie Legally Blonde and includes several different products.  NM's current TAT is 5-10 business days, though the Vanishing Cabinet ships out on its own schedule.  The Vanishing Cabinet is $13.25/month and includes several mini sized products from NM as well as a surprise guest indie product sometimes.

I watched the movie when I was a lot younger and I remember it fondly.  This box includes two mini eyeshadows, one mini Mystic Matte liquid lipstick, and one mini solid perfume.

Walking Felony
Walking Felony:  hot pink with pink and blue sparkles

Frigid B*tch
Frigid B*tch:  purple taupe with blue sparkles and shimmers.  This shadow was a hit with me because it was very smooth and blendable.  I would love a version of this without the blue sparkles so I can use it in my crease to blend out all my future look!

Bonds of Sisterhood
Bonds of Sisterhood:  fruity scent.  It reminds me of those Flintstone vitamins that everyone's forced to eat as a child.  You know the ones I'm talking about.  I actually enjoyed those even if they were a bit chalky.

Bare lips
Bend & Snap
Bend & Snap:  matte warm pink.  It actually applies a bit lighter on my lips than it appears in the tube.  The formula is very comfortable, pigmented, and very long wearing.  I know this because I wore it for an entire day through eating, drinking, and didn't touch it up.  I even slept with my makeup on that night (terrible, I know) and woke up with it still there.

Bend & Snap on lips

I love how the whole look came out!  Bend & Snap isn't a lip color I wear too often, but I did like it on me.  It was sort of My Lips but Coral-er?  Overall, the formula was terrific and the eye look was so easy to create, especially because of Frigid B*tch.  I really hope NM keeps up with those kinds of formulas because it was very buttery and made blending so much easier.

AFK Cosmetics Christmas in July 2016 Advent Calendar - Women of Studio Ghibli Swatches

I'm finally getting over my summer laziness and catching up on some overdue blog posts.  Today, I have swatches of AFK Cosmetics' Christmas in July 2015 Advent Calendar.  AFK Cosmetics usually releases two advent calendars per year. one in July and another in December.  This time around, the theme is Women of Studio Ghibli.  I'm a huge fan of Studio Ghibli, I actually like the creatures of Ghibli more than the actual human characters.  AFK's TAT is currently 7-20 business days, though the advent calendars operate on a different schedule.  The calendars come in two sizes, sample and full size.  I normally get the sample set because I never use up products, but this time I splurge on the full size because of the theme!

Satsuki
Satsuki:  pale yellow with red shimmers.  This was an exclusive shadow created by Shiro Cosmetics inspired by the older sister from My Neighbor Totoro.

Mei
Mei:  warm pink with silver sparkles.  This is the other exclusive shadow created by Shiro Cosmetics inspired by the younger sister from My Neighbor Totoro.

Lusheeta
Lusheeta:  amazing peach with strong green duochrome.  This was an exclusive shadow created by Innocent + Twisted Alchemy inspired by Sheeta from Laputa: Castle in the Sky.  This shadow is absolutely beautiful and the duochrome is so much stronger than what my swatch picture shows.  However, the jar was very messy; eyeshadow had leaked all over the insides and it took awhile for me to clean up.

Geek Chic Cosmetics I'm Not Cute and Cara Mia Swatches!

Geek Chic Cosmetics recently released an all new collection inspired by webcomic Bee and Puppycat.  It only has a few episodes so I was able to watch it all in one day.  It's very odd but also strangely enticing.  The collection features six eyeshadows and a perfume and comes in an adorable tin.  I also picked up their beautiful red liquid matte lipstick because I enjoyed the other matte lipstick I purchased from them.  Geek Chic's TAT is currently 10 business days from ordering.

I'm Cool as Hell
I'm Cool as Hell:  "A soft, sweet, and airy floral/citrus perfume perfect for spring with notes of fresh squeezed lime, strawberry, mango, and bubble gum all mixed with a heart of fresh cut sweet peas."  This is a pretty sweet scent to me, not sickeningly sweet though, it's very pleasant.  It doesn't last more than an hour or two, but the spray bottle makes it convenient to bring in your bag for reapplication.
