Hello Waffle Cosmetics April 2016 Visage - The Little Prince Swatches

Hello Waffle's April Visage box was inspired by The Little Prince.  I know some friends who read it in high school and I didn't get the chance to.  This month included three full sized eyeshadows, one slimline lipstick, and one full sized blush from Mad Lab Cosmetics.  The overstocks are currently available for purchase on Hello Waffle's site here and the TAT is currently 10 - 15 business days.

Her Fragrance and Radiance:  warm pink blush with gold sparkles; applied heavily over bare skin.  This was a full size blush from guest indie, Mad Lab Cosmetics.  It's a gorgeous and wearable blush.

I have mixed feelings about this month's box.  The eyeshadow and lipstick formulas were consistent with Hello Waffle's usual great formula.  However, the colors were a bit bright for my liking; it's purely personal.  I didn't feel comfortable going wearing only those shades out and had to add in some darker shades from my collection to feel more complete.  I really love Ta Rose though and find it absolutely gorgeous.  The lipstick was also a brighter color than I normally wear.  I was happy to step out of my comfort zone for that and found myself enjoying it the more I wore it.  As mentioned before, Visage extras are available for purchase now.  Fair warning though, they sell out extremely quickly!

Mad Lab Cosmetics Black Friday 2015 Swatches

So I've been a very bad girl and made a ton of orders with multiple shops over Black Friday - Mad Lab Cosmetics being one of them.  I've purchased and reviewed them once before and had a great experience.  Their shadows were beautiful and pigmented even over regular primer, I'm not sure why it took me so long to order again but I finally did.

Bronze:  bronze.  Very straightforward bronze, no fuss about it.

Let's NOT Build a Snowman:  white with blue and pink shimmers.  Although I don't use whites often, I couldn't pass up a snowman reference ;)

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy October 2015 Subscription Swatches

Alright, I'm a wee bit late, but here are swatches of Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's October subscription box.  It was inspired by creepy stories that the owner read on /r/letsnotmeet.  After reading those stories, I was creeped out as well.  I+TA generally has some pretty nice shadows, but this month had a definite standout and it was a beautiful duochrome you'll see later.

Photo Bomb:  red orange with green duochrome.  This.  THIS is the standout I was talking about.  Just look at that amazing duochrome.  I used it in an eye look shown below and it was amazing.

Mad Lab Cosmetics - First Impression and Swatches

I have a very exciting review on new-to-me indie company Mad Lab Cosmetics today.  They're a science themed company with beautiful eyeshadows named after elements.  I've been eyeing this company for a long time and finally took the plunge after seeing them in Working with Monolids' blog here.  I ordered the blogger pack which comes with one full sized item and five samples for $6.  When I received my order, it seems that a free sample of Lead was thrown in there as well!

Labradorite

Labradorite:  black base with blue and green sparkles.  I chose this as my full size because of how beautiful swatches of it were.  I was not disappointed at all, the jar was filled to the brim and the eyeshadow was stunning and pigmented over regular primer as well.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy January 2015 - Swatches and Review

Welcome back, everyone!  I would also like to welcome back Innocent + Twisted Alchemy!  They took a few months off during the holiday season because Linda works retail and it's extra stressful for her during that time.  The holidays are over now, so January marks the return of the subscription boxes.  I'm excited to share that the samples have been switched to jars instead of clamshells!  As you all know, I absolutely HATE clamshells and they really put me off from re-using my I+T colors (which is a damn shame because her colors and texture are amazing).  Now that they're in jars, I know I'll be reaching for them more :D

Majestic Life:  buttery sandstone with blue sparkles
