Notoriously Morbid Valentine's 2017 Queen of the Underworld Collection and Pulse of the Maggots Tribute Trio Swatches

I'm really excited to show swatches of Notoriously Morbid's limited edition Valentine's Day collection as well as their Slipknot inspired Tribute Trio!  Their current TAT is 14 business days and my order shipped around the tail end of the TAT because my order was combined with another.  I was extremely excited about the theme of the Vday collection because it's inspired by the kidnapping of Persephone by Hades in Greek Mythology.  I'm a huge Greek Mythology nerd so this combined two of my favorite things.

The Tribute Trio was amazing as well!  Pulse of the Maggots is inspired by Slipknot and co created by one of my fellow promoters, Roo.  The trio of shadows feature a beautiful semi loose formula and come in taller jars.

Disclosure:  I am a promoter for Notoriously Morbid and purchased these products using a promoter discount.

Corvus Cosmetics The Taupes Swatches and Review

Welcome back, everyone!  I have a very short swatch post of Corvus Cosmetics' newest collection - The Taupes!  Their current TAT is 5 - 30 business days and I receive my orders somewhere in the middle of that estimate.  The Taupes are part of The Essentials collection which feature several mini collections consisting of five shadows within the same color family.  The quints are designed to be used together for an effortless eye look.  I can't tell you how many times these have come in handy when I'm feeling particularly lazy during my morning rush.  The ones I use the most are The Reds and The Bronzes, so I was really excited for another mini collection.

If you like what you see here, or anything else from Corvus for that matter, feel free to use my affiliate code 'JOLIE20' for 20% off your entire order.

First off, I really love the dessert themed names!  They actually do remind me of the desserts they're named after and immediately makes me hungry.  I also used all five of these shadows in my eye look recently and everything blended extremely smoothly without losing their pigmentation.  Corvus has a fantastic eyeshadow formula and it continues to shine in these Essential satin shadows.

Notoriously Morbid February 2017 Vanishing Cabinet - Make Anyone Cry Today? Swatches and Review

Welcome back, everyone!  I have swatches of Notoriously Morbid's February Vanishing Cabinet.  Their current TAT is 14 business days and the VC operates on a different schedule.  February's VC was inspired by the movie, "10 Things I Hate About You" and includes two mini eyeshadows, one mini highlighter, and one mini blush.  Notoriously Morbid had asked their fans what they would like to see more of in the VC and many fans responded with matte eyeshadows and face products, blushes in particular.  I'm one of those who wanted more blushes as I find NM blushes highly underrated!

Just a Bratwurst
Just a Bratwurst:  beautiful purple with red, gold, and green shimmers

I burn, I pine, I perish
I burn, I pine, I perish:  beautiful ivory highlighter with strong red sheen; swatched heavily over bare skin.  This highlighter is wonderfully soft and glowy.  I enjoy NM's highlighters so I'm really glad they've been including more of them in their VCs!

Tempestuous
Tempestuous:  medium coral blush with gold sparkles and red shimmers; swatched heavily over bare skin.  This blush was not only a wonderful surprise to see, but worked extremely well.  Tempestuous was easy to blend with fluffy blush brush and gave a very beautiful flush to my face.  I normally use a small stipple brush with loose blushes, but I didn't have one on hand and used a regular fluffy brush instead.  I really hope NM gives us more blushes in future boxes or even releases a new collection of permanent blushes onto their site!

Overall, this box was a huge hit for me!  I absolutely squealed with delight when I pulled out not one, but TWO face products!  I hope NM continues this trend and gives me more blushes ;)  Just a Bratwurst was a beautiful color as well and I'm pretty sure I used it immediately haha.  I'm excited for this month's box even though it won't be coming for awhile.

Hello Waffle February 2017 Visage - She Walks in Beauty Swatches and Review

Happy March, everyone!  I have some belated Valentine's Day posts for you guys as usual ^^;  Today, I have swatches of Hello Waffle's February Visage box.  It's inspired by Lord Byron's poem, She Walks in Beauty.  Hello Waffle's current TAT is 10 - 15 business days and the Visage operates on a different shipping schedule.  February's Visage boasts a huge box value with almost double the products.  The owner, Christine, also gave out replacements of last month's lipstick, The Holy Grail, and I'm really liking the replacement formula.  The guest indie for that month was Brija Cosmetics and they created an exclusive lip gloss for the box.

Innocent + Twisted Alchemy Woo Me Valentine's 2017 Swatches

Hi, everyone!  I decided that since I was on a roll, I might as well continue with it.  I have swatches of Innocent + Twisted Alchemy's newest Valentine's Day collection.  The set is called Woo Me and consists of four beautiful, shimmery shadows.  I had actually ordered samples of the quad and requested Tomio as the free sample, but the owner, Linda, had generously upgraded my order instead!  I was actually very confused and assumed I had gotten someone else's order until I read the invoice.  Thank you so much, Linda!

I+TA's current TAT is 14 - 18 business days, though I got my order way sooner.  Way, way sooner!

Overall, the Woo Me quad is beautiful and Tomio actually fits right in with the theme and color family.  The set has wonderful lid shades and I will have to pull in some outside colors for a well rounded eye look, but I don't mind that at all.  I have an abundance of darker matte shades and would rather have more unique lid colors instead.  Moments is definitely my favorite of the bunch as I love coppers and rosy tones.  I'm glad I+TA is still releasing new collections since discontinuing their subscription box as I've missed getting their products monthly!
