Corvus Cosmetics Westerburg Collection Swatches

Hey everyone!  Today I have Corvus Cosmetics' Westerburg collection swatches for you.  It's inspired by the cult classic Heathers.  I actually never watched Heathers despite everyone telling me how good it was.  Well, I had time off one day and decided to watch it on Netflix since this was coming up in my swatch schedule.

Well.  It was good.  It was really funny and dark and Christian Bale was super hunky *_*  ANYWAY, it's good that I watched the movie before doing this review because I finally understood the references.  Too bad it's such a risque movie that some of the funnier quotes couldn't make it in.  Oh well, onto the swatches!

AFK Cosmetics Custom Balm Swatches and Review!

SO.  This review has been a long time coming!  I made this order a long time ago, and due to the nature of creating custom colors, it took even longer to get to me.  I made a relatively small order for AFK Cosmetics' CotM balm, mini mascara, and custom Chanel Dragon balm.  I don't think I'll ever give up trying to dupe the Dragon gloss mainly because I don't actually know how it looks like in person so the surprise and anticipation will always keep me wanting...  Anyway!  I noticed my order was taking awhile and messaged the owner, Dena, on FB for updates.  She apologized and started sending me updates and swatches on my balm right away.  I was super picky and probably caused a LOT of trouble for her, but I really liked the resulting swatch!

My order arrived soon after and included two samples of her newest collection - Three Laws of Robotics.

Limnit Lipstick in Ms. President Review!

I have a really short swatch and review for you today of Limnit Lipsticks 'Ms. President'.  I had tried Limnits' other colors before but when they announced their lipstick bullets were back in stock, I immediately picked one up!

Ms. President:  milky crimson.  The formula is drying after two hours and makes inner edges of lips peel so I may have to top it off with a gloss or something.  I find a lot of matte lipsticks are drying on me, so it's not a knock on their formula in particular.  This shade goes great with neutral eyes and possibly smoky eyes.

Do you have a favorite Limnit shade?

Corvus Cosmetics The Roses and Merewif Collections Swatches!

I received my Corvus Cosmetics order yesterday and couldn't wait to swatch!  They're starting to release some permanent collections revolving around certain colors and their first one is The Roses, inspired by the rosy colors of Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette.  Also released on the same day was the mermaid inspired Merewif collection.  I picked both of them up as soon as they were released (stalked the site like no other); Corvus is closing for a bit and reopening in August, so if you see anything you like, you can wait a bit to pick it up then.

Also, my white backdrop recently got ruined, so I attempted to take pictures without my light tent with just the light bulbs blaring down on my products.  If the baggies have some sort of super glare going on, you know why :/

Lily of the Valley
Lily of the Valley:  shimmery pastel yellow.  This was actually Corvus' first ever Color of the Month a few months back and I kept mulling over whether to get it or not.  Since I'm a collector, I decided to finally get it only to find out it was out of stock :(  The amazing owner, Noel, snuck one in my order without telling me and it was such a great surprise!  (Seriously, she's awesome and super funny, I'll dedicate a WCW to her someday, I promise.)

Mermaid Cat
Mermaid Cat:  pinky nude base with teal sheen and pink microshimmers.  This was an exclusive shadow created for a private group and I was really lucky to receive it.  It's subtle enough to use as an all over lid color, but the teal sheen is beautiful enough to turn heads.  Corvus definitely knows how to do neutrals with a twist.

Femme Fatale & Shiro Cosmetics Haul Swatches

Today I have swatches of some Femme Fatale Cosmetics eyeshadows and Shiro glosses that were sold on FF's site awhile ago.  The Shiro glosses were exclusive glosses made around the holidays and weren't available for sale until it was put up by FF.

Cosmic Owl
Cosmic Owl:  metallic bronze.  I have a few bronzes in my collection, but I couldn't resist getting a shadow named after one of my favorite Adventure Time characteres!

Shiro Cosmetics Fifth Anniversary Mini Haul Swatches

Womp womp, this one has been in my draft folder for awhile even though I finished editing the pictures weeks ago v_v  I purchased from Shiro Cosmetic's website shortly after their fifth anniversary sale announcement because they had a few new releases.  There was the May CotM, new Animal Crossing trio, and a fifth anniversary shadow GWP.  Additionally, they were also discontinuing the Badger Mushroom Snake collection, so I knew I had to grab it up because Mushroom is one of my favorite colors.  I actually bought all the aforementioned products, but the team forgot to send me the May CotM and sent it out immediately after I informed them (it will be in a separate post).

Notoriously Morbid A Sinister Set Swatches!

I'm definitely in a blogging mood today!  Got off work early, took a much needed nap, and now I'm a bit more revitalized :)  My favorite indie brand, Notoriously Morbid recently started a mini series based on musicians.  Each set will have three eyeshadows collectively called Tribute Trios and will have individual collection names based on the musician.

The first set is based on Rob Zombie; I'm not familiar with his work, but I didn't want to pass up any great NM shadows.  Unfortunately, I was napping when it was released and woke up half an hour later with it being out of stock (I believe it sold out within minutes!).  I was mourning my loss when an amazing member of NM's Facebook group told me she bought two sets and asked if I wanted to buy one from her.  Obviously I jumped at the chance and was extremely grateful for the offer!  I consider myself extremely lucky because when these limited edition sets sell out, they're gone for good.  Anyway, I'll stop rambling and get on with the swatches :)

Durango 95
Durango 95:  gray base with pink sheen

Cemetery Things
Cemetery Things:  crocodile green with blue sparkles and pink microshimmers

Paper Demons
Paper Demons:  shimmery burgundy with gold shimmers

Durango 95, Cemetery Things, Paper Demons

These all had nice pigmentation over regular primer, but the standout was Cemetery Things over a sticky base.  The pink microshimmers really looked beautiful and unique over the cool toned shadow and I can't wait to showcase it in a look.  It's a shame I'm not familiar with the songs because understanding the references would have made it more special.  I'm still really glad I was able to get my hands on this set though, it makes a great addition to my already huge NM collection.
