A couple months back, I had finally caved and subscribed to a monthly beauty box called Ipsy. For $10/month (plus tax), you get a makeup bag filled with four to five beauty products from different companies. The famous YouTube guru Michelle Phan is one of its spokeswomen and I finally caved after seeing the products that people were getting.
Each month, Ipsy comes up with a different theme for their bag and products. July's theme was Beach Beauty. I received a hot pink waterproof bag and five products.

Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray: This salt-water scented spray was supposed to give you beachy waves. You apply it while your hair is still damp and scrunch your hair with your towel and hands. It did not work on me at all. It made my hair feel dirty, oily, and I had no waves at all.

BH Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow Sample: This mini palette includes a color from BH Cosmetics' Hollywood, San Francisco, and Malibu Palettes. It has a royal purple, bronze, and bright gold color. The royal purple swatched very poorly and was not pigmented at all while the bronze and gold were fantastic.

Benefit Benetint: Benefit Cosmetic's famous Benetint blush. I was so excited to get this as I was not expecting it at all and heard great things about it. It is a rose scented liquid blush that stains your skin. I was not wowed by this product but was happy to have been able to try it!

Coola Moisturizer: I have a horrible habit of not wearing sunscreen unless I'm at the beach so I haven't tried out this product yet.

POP Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon: I love getting lip products and I really like the concept of jumbo lip pencils. I got the color Rose Romance which is a light pink color that is a wearable nude for me. It is moisturizing and pigmented; I really liked it.

For my first month, this was just an okay bag for me only because I wasn't too fond of the bag. I had subscribed initially because of the products and the bags themselves. I liked only two out of the five products I got but held out hope for better bags in the upcoming months!
